Using gift cards to buy Disneyland Annual Pass

Hi everyone,

I tried to buy some DLR annual passes online with gift cards, but it doesn't seem to be an option (even though it says you should be able to).

Anyone know of any other way to purchase APs with gift cards (or even better with Disney Vacation Account)?

I assume you can buy them at the ticket booth with gift cards?
I also tried local Disney Stores (we live in Northern California), but they didn't have them. Do the Disney Stores in Southern California have them?

Yes, but how do you actually use the gift card to buy the Annual Pass? It's not an option as far as I can see on the Disneyland website, and I don't think you can buy APs over the phone.

When you get to the payment method screen, scroll down past all the credit card info and select "use another payment method." You can then select gift card. If your gift card won't cover the entire amount due then you can enter a credit card to cover the rest.

Yeah, I tried that but doesn't seem to work for APs (though it does work for regular tickets). There doesn't appear to be a "Gift card" option, even though it says right on the screen that it should be an option. I tried "Rewards Card" but it doesn't work. (see pic below).

That's strange, there was a gift card option in the drop down menu when I tried it. I would call the DLR AP line. I didn't think they would upgrade my pass over the phone (deluxe to signature) but someone suggested calling so I did and the CM was able to do it and I paid with a gift card. Worth a try.
