Using FP+ at Epcot questions

1. After using up your first 3 FP of the day, can your 4th FP be a Tier 1 ride like TT or Soarin?
2. How likely is it that FP for those rides would be available? The day in question is a crowd level 2 day according to easywdw, and I'd like to get my 4th FP for the early afternoon (we are not staying late in Epcot).

1. Yes
2. Nope (but, you can TRY)

1. Yes
2.nope.

wow, so you think there will be no availability at all even on a level 2 day? That's a bummer. I guess we'll have to do a rope drop dash after all. I was hoping to avoid that.

I think it's a good question, I would think on a crowd level 2 day there must be same day FP available for Soarin' and/or TT. I have no personal experience, on the Epcot days of our FP+ trip, we didn't even bother trying, we were there at rope drop and rode everything we wanted to in FW before noon and then headed into WS.

But if you are saying you aren't doing rope drop, and your 4th FP must be for early afternoon, the correct answer is probably "nope". The earlier you get to the park, the earlier you can use your first 3 FP, the earlier you can get a 4th at a kiosk, and who knows when that return time might be. For us personally, FP+ didn't make it so we can reserve 3 FP and sleep in and still do everything. I think it is just as important, if not MORE important, to rope drop with FP+ than it was before.

There's also no need to "dash", especially on a low crowd day. Reserve a FP for one of Soarin'/TT, and walk with the rope drop crowd to the other, you'll easily have less than 15 minute wait.

We're kind of lazy ropedroppers. If the park opens at 9 I'll book our first FP in the 9-10 hour and plan on arriving to the park "about" 9--knowing that as long as we're in by 9:30 or even 9:45 we'll be able to make that first FP. So our "fourth" FP would be available--if the park opens at 9--by 12 noon.

Okay, if you reserved your 3 FP+ for windows at 9am/10am/11am, you could theoretically use your 3 FP at 9:45am, 10:20am, and 10:55am, and then hit a kiosk immediately after getting off that ride, thus getting a 4th FP before 11:30am.

Based on my (limited) experience getting 4th FPs, I would bet that Soarin' and TT will have FP still available if you get to a kiosk at 11:30am. The question would be the return time, would you be able to get return time before you were planning on leaving Epcot, I have no idea.

Personally, I would prefer to spend the effort to get up and make it to rope drop and once I'm there have a leisurely morning, knowing I'm getting both Soarin'/TT by rope-dropping one and fastpassing the other, instead of strolling in at 9:30am and feeling pressure to get the FP rides done to get to a kiosk for FP #4, with no guarantee of availability.

I think more often then not, both will be gone--even on low-crowd days. Just a guess though.

We were there 2 weeks ago, leading into labor day, I thinks crowd levels were between 3 and 4. We were able to get both as our 4th on different days. One morning around 11 we added soarin' for around 1. Another morning we added test track, we picked 8 because we were coming back after dinner, but I think around 7 was the earliest. We were staying at the beach club, so on other days when we went back to the room for breaks at about 2-3 I walked to the international gateway and was able to add test track one night with soarin' available. Soarin was available other nights I did that but it conflicted with dinner.

I didn't know you could get a 4th fastpass, I thought you were allowed 1 in first category and pick 2 in the second category

You've got to remember that Disney doesn't run attractions at full capacity on low-crowd days, so that could work against you getting another Tier 1 FP+ at Epcot.

That's all you can pre-book, but once you're in the park and use up your first 3 you can go to a kiosk and pick a 4th (and then a 5th, and then a 6th, and so on).

The same is true of every WDW park.

ok thank you that's good to know, where are the kiosks at epcot?

If you look at a current Epcot park map they have little FP+ symbols denoting where the kiosks are. Only problem is Disney has been known to move the kiosks without updating the maps.

I just looked at a map and it looks like the FP kiosks are at Innoventions East, Innoventions West, and the International Gateway.

thanks I looked it up they at Innoventions East & West breezeways, International gateway and Innoventions tip board.
