Using extra TS credits

From what I've read you can use extra credits on a TS meal to pay for a person who is not on your dining plan. I want to pay for my parents meal at one of the restaurants using my credits (There are 4 people on my reservation but I want to use 6 TS credits at a restaurant) My question is has anyone ever been denied at a restaurant using extra credits?

Depending on the restaurant, yes. Usually it's the non Disney owned places, but I've only seen a few reports.

Yup! Did this at Garden Grill in November. I was on the DDP but my Aunt and Uncle were not, so they let me use my extra TS for them so they only had to pay out of pocket for 1 person. I asked before I went to dinner that night and was told you can use your credits however you'd like.
