Using Emerald Aisle From National and I Have Some Questions

Hi! I just booked a rental car and I was able to use my Disney Club conract number and a coupon number. I got a decent rate for an intermediate.

My questions are this:

1. When will National charge my credit card?

2. If I find a better discount can I change my reservation?

3. Can I totally skip going to the counter and just pick out the vehicle I want and check out that way?

4. What types of cars have you gotten on the "aisle?" Any luxury cars or SUV's?

1. When will National charge my credit card?

I belive that they put a "hold" on your card when you check out the car and charge your card when you return.

2. If I find a better discount can I change my reservation?

I made a new reservation and canceled the old one. It was easier that way.

3. Can I totally skip going to the counter and just pick out the vehicle I want and check out that way?

Yup. Just drive the car you've selected from the Emerald Aisle and drive it to the exit gate. Make sure that you have any coupons and/or membership cards with you plus a copy of your reservation. I've heard the agents at the gates can be quite picky.

4. What types of cars have you gotten on the "aisle?" Any luxury cars or SUV's?

There was pretty slim pickings when I picked up on 7/7. There were a few intermediates and a few full sized cars. No luxury, specialty, minvans or SUVs. However, many people have had better luck.

All of the above is correct. The pickings were poor on 6/30/01 also.
When I went last Feb. there were SUV's , Minivans and I choose a convertible.

now last feb when we picked up our vehicle it was pretty much one cadillac one pick up truck and the rest were all SUV's. now when we returned the blazer it was all big cars one mini van and one suv. so its pretty much the luck of the draw!
