Just needing some comformation that I CAN use my Disney Visa REWARDS points to pay for my room only stay at Disneyland Hotel. Paying at the hotel upon check-in/out, not booking any type of package and prepaying.

We did this a couple years ago and I can't believe that this would have changed. We paid at check in with two different Disney Visa rewards cards and the rest on the Visa card itself. It took a bit for the CM to run the three things through but it all ended up correct.

Since then we have done packages where we paid ahead but always paying some with rewards card.

how many points per night is it?

I'm looking into getting a reward card to use the points for all of our Disney trips.

It is not like DVC where it is a certain number of "points" per night. The rewards card works like the frequent flyer credit cards. You get 1 point per $100 spent. The points that you accumulate are then loaded onto a card that functions like a pre-paid credit card - it has a number on it that is the same length as a visa card number. If you have 100 points on the card, then it is worth $100. You can use it at the DLR where ever a credit card is accepted. I use it all the time to either pay partial (or full) on my DLR hotel room, I have used it for Fantasmic! tickets or to pay for dinners.

Hope that helps.
