Hi, Can I use my Disney Rewards card to pay for a package deposit? If I do, can I have that $200 put back ONTO the card if we cancel?

Thanks...

I used my rewards for some of my payoff of our trip last Sept. When I was making the payment the CM said to make sure I kept the card (I brought it to zero) since if I cancelled the refund would go back to the rewards card. I guess you can say it works just like a credit card in that matter. Where ever you charge/use gift card that will be the place for a refund if necessary. Just ask and make sure no policies have changed!! It's really a great thing, but you might want to charge to your Visa to gain the points as well as the zerp interest for 6 months and use the card for other purchases at WDW that won't allow the Zero for 6 months. Just an idea if you will be spending any other money at WDW!!

Thanks for the info on the rewards card.

Can you explain how the 0% interest works with the visa card if there are other non Disney purchases on it? I read something about being careful with that. We don't carry a balance on the card (we pay it off each month), but was wondering how 0% changes if there are other non Disney package stuff on it. thanks.

The way the zero interest worked the last time I used it (so call and check to make sure it's still the same) the zero interest is for 6 months for each item-the deposit and the payoff 45 days prior. Each will be listed as seperate promotions with their own expiration date. If you use the card for other purchases-that amount must be paid in full to avoid interest. Disney Visa applied any payments I made to the other purchases first. I called and checked to make sure this was the case and yes, it was for my purchases. There will be a minimum payment due even if no other purchases and you of course have to pay that but for other purchases, just pay the entire other purchases and the promos will remain interest free for the timeframe listed on your statement. BE sure to pay them off before the end date of the promo. One other thing I noticed is that these promo balances don't even accrue interest (like Home depot cards do) so even if you don't pay them in full at the end of the zero promo time, no interest for the past 6 months will be added like so many other zero offers from other credits cards do. Even when I have the money to pay the trip off before the 6 months, I make just the necessary pmts and keep the money in a 3%savings acct. until due. Hope this helps.
