Using Dev Points

How long goes it normally take for Member Services to make a booking using developer points (plus normal points) and issue a confirmation?

Dont know if this helps since I only used half of my developer points

But I called today to make a reservation using 79 of my 160 developer points and was told it would take from 5 to 7 days for them to issue a confirmation number to be emailed to me.

Last summer, it took me at least 3 weeks (I think it was more like 4) to get my confirmation for my trip booked with developer's points.

Same here. I was told they have to be processed manually.

I got my e-mail confirmation in just under two weeks.

Thanks everyone so far I have been waiting 9 days for my email confirmation, I will give it another week and if I still haven't heard anything I will phone up.

I was told they are way behind right now. The same people who answer the phones do the manual reservations...they are swamped with phone calls and no one has time to do the manuals. One CM told me they keep increasing their hours and they have hired more staff, they keep having meetings about how to solve the problem...my suggestion is let me make my own reservation on the web site....just like you can do with WDW.
I have been waiting 8 business days now...hum...long wait.

For what its worth, while it did take a week or so to get our conformation when we used our dev points, the room was booked in our name right away. So, while it took a bit for the conformation to arrive, we did not have to worry about not being able to get our room using dev points.

Can developer points be used for the WDW resorts just like your regular points? How are they used? Can they be used at the 11 month or 7 month mark?
