Using Deluxe plan on split room

To get the best ticket savings, you should have an account at touring plans. Heck, you should have one anyway, given how amazingly useful its reservation finder alone can be!

Now that I'm thinking of it, you can book two rooms at All Star Sports using the Fun & Sun room only discount. Then call to turn one of them into a ticketless package with deluxe dining plan. Then use the touring plans ticket calculator special link to get five adult 5-day park hoppers for $1945 (saving 9%), or you can get non-parkhopper tickets for $1715 (saving 10%), all of which you can upgrade to 6-day tickets at guest services once you arrive at Disney World for an additional $80. Either way, you save money over getting tickets from Disney directly.

Alternately, you can hold off on buying park tickets until a better offer appears, since you don't need them until you book fast passes. But then you run the risk of facing the expected February ticket price increase.

1715 plus 80 so a 25 dollar savings after having to do all that (again the 5% disney gift card bonus not even applied)? I think I will pass on that but I will keep my eyes open.

But then she could only make 5 days of fast passes, which defeats the savings and hassle from getting what she needs from the start. We got our last hoppers from UT to save but for all the days we needed so we would have fps.

"she"?? lol :)

Touringplan and their chat, rocks! I've been tearing it up. OCD lol

I mean, at around 1820, why would anyone get tickets unless you could find them AT LEAST 100 dollars cheaper? The Disney gift cards get me the tickets for 1730.

Great point about fast passes, afan! I totally forgot about that.

stockdogg, I didn't even realize that the Fun & Sun discount included a free 6th day! I'm doing the math out loud, for my own edification here.

Adult 5 day parkhoppers cost $413.81 each from Disney using the 5% gift card discount and $389 from Touring Plans' partners.

Adult 6 day parkhoppers cost $417.57 from Disney using the 5% gift card discount and the Fun & Sun free day discount, $428.98 from Disney using the 5% gift card discount and no room discount, $426 from Touring Plans' partners, and $404.17 if you price bridge a Touring Plans 5 day to a 6 day at guest services, which you wouldn't want to do if you need fast passes for all days.

You're right that the free sixth day makes Disney the best place to buy tickets right now. But be on the lookout for other ticket deals, like the Southwest Vacations one from earlier this Fall. If that were still around, you could save over $500!

The CM said we were able to share as long as we were in same rooms under same house/family. I think that's the way I understood it, anyway. I'm also guaranteed a CONNECTING room at all star sports.

Just so you are aware, there is no such thing a a guaranteed connecting room. They may tell you that, but they are wrong to do so. Rooms are not assigned as we book them, so there is no honest way for them to guarantee rooms connect ahead of time. The person you spoke with has no way of knowing if they will be available when you check in or not. There have been posters who had Guaranteed Connecting on their reservations, and still did not get them.

Nothing is guaranteed 100% about your reservation. Not that you will get the room type you booked, not even that you will be at the resort you booked. Disney has themselves covered enough that they can move you and suffer not repercussions. Having said that, they will try to give your REQUEST of Connecting Rooms, but it is just that, a request.

Btw, I have been unfortunate enough to not get a booked room type twice, so stuff like that does happen. Nothing is "guaranteed". Please be aware of that!

You aren't guaranteed a connecting room, no matter what the phone CM said.

oh well, kids are old enough it's fine but Ive also got a chat saying the same thing. so if it doesn't happen I will try to get a lil something out of it. They shouldn't guarantee it if they aren't going to guarantee it
So when I make my requests on online checkin then I should put connecting room first? (is that even an option?) Both CM's said I wouldn't have to request anything since 2 adults in same household got room under one account. But yeah, if I had to pick one request and connecting was one of them I would pick connecting.
