Using DDP for someone not in our room

My wife, daughter and I are going to be getting seven days of DDP. Can anyone tell me if we go to dinner with someone not staying in our room can we use one of the quick service or full service credits for them? Does Disney know who is on the plan from your room?

They may not know who is in your room, but they know how many. Your card will state 2A(dults), 1C(hild) and you can't order more meals than the number on your card at any one time.

The brochure for the Dining Plan says that you cannot use your credits to purchase meal(s) for anyone not on your plan. As the PP said, the KTTW will indicate the number of adults and children on your plan and you cannot redeem more than that amount.

Says:

You may not redeem meals or snacks for any Guests who are not on your Disney Dining Plan.

The plan is very specific that you cannot do that.

As previously said the plan specifically says you can only use credits for those on the plan and doing otherwise would be against the rules.
