Using DDP and will have Xtra credits..question about using them

Hi,
My family of 5 is going to the BCV and getting the DDP for the first time. Here is my question. My 17 year old is flying home halfway through our trip and we will have his dining "credits" left over. I was thinking we could use them for a signature dinner, breakfast..whatever, the point is how do we phyically use them if he isn't there? Will we have to use his card or are they on a 'master' card. I was just hoping that this wont be a snag because I would hate to just lose the credits for what we paid for, that seems like such a waste. I am totally unfamiliar with the process and any info or explanations will help.

All of the cards will have all of the credits "pooled" on them. Doing a signature meal will be a good use of the credits. Have fun!

In other words you only need to show one card to "pay" for your meal regardless of how many people are actually seated?

My husband had to fly home for a few days and we did exactly what you are asking. It was in the summer but I do not think that it will be a problem. You are all on the plan.

It won't be a problem at all--groups split up for meals all the time, and that's what it will look like to the CM's. Not that you're doing anything that you'd have to hide from the CM's, but if you're worried about appearances. . . . Just keep track of your credits, know how many you'll have leftover, and plan accordingly.

Remember, your ds can use up some of the extra credits before he leaves, too. If he wants 2 CS meals or 3 snacks in one day, no problem. (But like your idea of holding onto his TS credits and using them for a signature dining experience ).

He is a Counter service kinda kid and lives on burgers so the CS meals will probably what he uses most. I like the idea of us using his credit for TS too YEa!!!!!!!

I just wanted to tell you that I'm glad everything is working out for you!! I had posted on your other thread about the hotel stuff. I would use the extra dining credits for a character breakfast or a signature meal. Have a great time!!

To answer warriorboy648, yes they can go off on their own as long as they have their room card to use for their meals.

Just make sure they have charging privileges on their cards (not sure if they need it for DDP, but just to be safe), and tell them to check their credits after each purchase and save all their receipts, just in case there's a discrepency.

We were always together for TS meals, but were often not together for (CS) breakfast, as my dh likes to sleep in while the kids and I prefer to open the parks. I was keeping a pretty close watch on our credits, and could sometimes tell whether or not he was up yet by the number of remaining credits. "Look kids--we're down one CS, so daddy must have gotten up and had breakfast already!"
