Using DCL transport from MCO Hyatt

Just information for those who don't know (or are seeking information later on), I did a chat with DCL and they amended our MCO to Port Canaveral transportation to Hyatt Regency Orlando Int'l Airport to Port Canaveral. We booked the Hyatt through Hotels dot com and there was no added cost to the Hyatt transfer over the regular airport transfers. I'm pretty excited to not have to drag our luggage through the airport.

Well, you'll still need to drag it over to the Hyatt when you get to the airport. Better than doing it twice, though!

Before Covid, Hyatt bell services used to claim luggage. We paid $10 for the service, but at midnight, it was the best $10 spent.

On the DCL bus now and wanted to share my experience staying at the Hyatt with DCL transfers. When I checked in they gave me a sheet with information about the process. It said they would start to take luggage from the room at 8:00 and the busses would start around 9:20. At the bottom of the form the had a place to enter your room information and number of bags etc. which they said to bring to the lobby. I happened to go to the hotel lobby at 8:00 and DCL cast members were at a desk across from the hotel check in. I gave them my form and they told me to come back for the bus by 8:20. When we came back to the desk in the hotel lobby they checked us in and we waited until about 8:40 when the walked us to the elevators which we took to the first floor and walked to the bus which was in the hotel parking lot. We left about 8:49. There were only 4 families on the bus so we were able to spread our. Hope this helps someone!

Hey we were on that same bus! I had no idea the transfers were going to be that easy I was planning to walk down to the main bus area I was very pleasantly surprised. Plus our bus was the first DCL transfers bus at the terminal!

Also to add for others, I booked the Hyatt with points and called DCL after to let them know I was staying there, it all worked out great.

We already cleared the testing and are waiting for them to start boarding.
Thank you for sharing all this helpful information!! Is it still true that when doing DCL transfers from the MCO Hyatt that we don't get a PAT? As I try to remember back, I think that's how it was when we sailed just before the shutdown. I know I have read that they strictly enforce PATs right now with the testing, etc, but that must not be the case with Disney transfers? And then did you just get a boarding group number after testing and checking in? Do you remember what time you actually got on the ship? Was it a very long wait after arriving and testing? Thanks!! :)

We used DCL transport from the Hyatt in September. When we checked in on the website, it said that we didn't need a PAT and that we were in boarding group 2. Boarding group 1 is for concierge, so 2 basically meant that we could board whenever we wanted to.

At 8am, someone knocked on our door to gather our luggage. We decided to take it ourselves. At 9:30, we went down to the lobby and spoke to the DCL representative, who took our luggage and escorted us to a waiting bus that left about 10 minutes later. I could see his list of guests and we were some of the last, so I think that most people got an earlier bus.

Anyway, driving to the port and going through testing and all that, then waiting at the ears and watching the welcome song took some time, but we were in Cabanas by about 12pm.

If you're doing the Hyatt + DCL transport, then make sure that the Hyatt knows to put you on the DCL list so that they give you the information when you check in and so that you're on the DCL rep's list in the morning.

I also recently stayed there for the 9/20 Dream cruise. At about 8:00 am, someone knocked on our door and asked if we had any luggage to take. We told him that we'd wheel it down ourselves when we were ready to go. We got down to the lobby at about 9:30 am and dropped our luggage at the DCL rep's desk. Then, they escorted us right to the bus and we left about 10 minutes later. Overall, it was a great experience.
Did you book the Hyatt via DCL or independently?
