On the DCL bus now and wanted to share my experience staying at the Hyatt with DCL transfers. When I checked in they gave me a sheet with information about the process. It said they would start to take luggage from the room at 8:00 and the busses would start around 9:20. At the bottom of the form the had a place to enter your room information and number of bags etc. which they said to bring to the lobby. I happened to go to the hotel lobby at 8:00 and DCL cast members were at a desk across from the hotel check in. I gave them my form and they told me to come back for the bus by 8:20. When we came back to the desk in the hotel lobby they checked us in and we waited until about 8:40 when the walked us to the elevators which we took to the first floor and walked to the bus which was in the hotel parking lot. We left about 8:49. There were only 4 families on the bus so we were able to spread our. Hope this helps someone!

I also recently stayed there for the 9/20 Dream cruise. At about 8:00 am, someone knocked on our door and asked if we had any luggage to take. We told him that we'd wheel it down ourselves when we were ready to go. We got down to the lobby at about 9:30 am and dropped our luggage at the DCL rep's desk. Then, they escorted us right to the bus and we left about 10 minutes later. Overall, it was a great experience.

So your checked bags went under the bus you were on and not by separate truck as in the past?

In the past the bags went to the port on a box truck, not in the bus.

Yes, that has been our experience too, that's why I asked about the bags going under the bus this time. Maybe the way I posted it was confusing.

They were on the bus. When we got to the terminal, the driver took the luggage out so that we could make sure everything was there and then the DCL folks took it from there.

If there's a chance I won't be able to board, I would want my luggage with me. They don't want to have to reunite those who test positive with their luggage.

Well, once you arrive at the port, your luggage is taken before you go for testing. So they'll have to reunite you anyway.

We did this last week. For some reason the Hyatt was not aware that we were on the DCL bus list. However, straightening that out was quick and easy. We had to bring our own luggage down because we were not ready when bell services came for it due to me being downstairs working it out with the DCL rep. But overall, it was a good experience, and I'd do it again.

Are you ever able to book the Hyatt room through DCL? Wondering as we have some leftover cruise credit. Thanks!

So if we don’t book the Hyatt through DCL, can we use the luggage service? We have transportation through DCL to and from the airport. So excited to cruise again!

I booked the Hyatt myself and then told my travel agent about it and he called to make sure that I'd be on the bus list. So, I got the DCL letter when I checked in and I was able to use the luggage service.

Sounds great! I'll call DCL and have them add it. I booked the Hyatt through a third party, think that matters?

Just information for those who don't know (or are seeking information later on), I did a chat with DCL and they amended our MCO to Port Canaveral transportation to Hyatt Regency Orlando Int'l Airport to Port Canaveral. We booked the Hyatt through Hotels dot com and there was no added cost to the Hyatt transfer over the regular airport transfers. I'm pretty excited to not have to drag our luggage through the airport.
