Planning a Sept 03 western cruise, We have already purchased the DCL transfers, but also want to take a limo to the ship. If we use both, will are baggage still go to the ship?

Hi J Rose.

We have already purchased the DCL transfers, but also want to take a limo to the ship.

Why pay for both? The limo can certainly accommodate your luggage as well as the DCL transfer service, unless you're planning to use one of those new Mini Cooper Car limos...

Ok, here's what you gotta do:

CANCEL the DCL transfers!! :)

The limo will take you AND all of your luggage, and deliver you and your bags right to the port!

Sorry DCL.... you're cruises are great, but the DCL bus transfers are, in a word... dumb!!

Why??

A limo is not much more expensive, and it's private, immeasurably more comfortable, and you are not waiting at the mercy of other DCL bus passengers. It's just no contest...

Enjoy your wonderfully comfy limo, rest and relax, then get a porter to take your bags to the ship. Tip him 5 or 6 bucks... you'll be money ahead, not to mention several minutes ahead of most DCL busses!

When you get home, feel free to post a generous 'thank you' to me for this advice! LOL

(At least I am not opinionated!)

Beano, I think that was GREAT advice and everyone should take the Limo instaed of the DCL transfer. You will be soooooo much more relaxed when you get to port!!! Joni :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We've always taken the DCL transfers and I don't see it as a bad thing at all. For two people, it's about $100 vs. around $150 for a limo. I don't think it's stressful or uncomfortable at all. We're always at the port around 11:00am, plenty of time to check in and get a good spot in line. In the end, it's just a 50 minute ride on a bus. It's air conditioned, they show a video. How bad could it be?

I would definitely not pay for both. Why pay $49 to have your luggage transferred.

mainly because its already paid, and our group wanted the privacy of a limo

I'm pretty sure you can cancel the transfers, even though you're within 60 days of travel. I don't think there's a penalty for this.

We took a white stretch limo to and from the port. It was one of the best things we did--having a peaceful, private ride with refreshments and no waiting.
