Using credits on family not staying at WDW

Hi,

I'm really sorry as I know this question has been asked numerous times in the past but I've got to page 6 and still couldn't find it nor when I've searched, can find the correct post but if we have family in the Florida area who aren't on the DDP but we are, can we pay for one of their TS meals (we'll be eating there too) on the plan or will the server know only 2 adults have this plan?

I've done this on the deluxe dining plan a few times but don't know if it's allowed on any other plans. Oh and they were staying at WDW but the servers never asked about anyone's hotel residency, just scanned my MB, and presto, the bill was paid.

Yes, can use your credits however you like! They will take off how many are at the table, no matter who has the plan. As long as you have another credits, you can use them, just like 2 credits for signature meal, etc. Enjoy!

After reading the thread about people having mixed experiences with this for a while, I emailed WDW and asked if I could use credits for family who are coming to spend a day with us at WDW, and was told yes. I plan on having that email handy just in case.

Yes. They are your credits to do with what you want. All that Disney cares about is a credit is a credit. It does not matter who eats it or what you do with that meal.
