Using Castaway Club and not booking with DCL

Can I use the Castaway Club number and get the freebies when I book through someone other than DCL?

I assume you mean if you book a Disney Cruise through a Travel Agent? Yes, by all means, you will get the Castaway Club amenities. Be sure to tell your TA that you are a repeat guest and they will note it on the reservation for you.

We are the ultimate Castaway Club members (29 Disney cruises and counting). We book through Dreams Unlimited and have never had any problem with receiving our Castaway Club benefits. The gift and pins are always waiting for us, and we always get our party invite. As long as they make sure that your number is on the reservation, there should be no problems.

Barb, you must have quite an assortment of DCL Duffel bags and Beach Towels!

I think that they should give your Castaway Club gift on a scale. For instance, on your second cruise, you get the beach towel. Cruise again, you get the Duffel bag. Cruise again, maybe you get a coffee mug....I figure by the time you hit 30 you should at least get a three-day cruise!

The Castaway Club is made up of anyone who has been on a Disney Cruise. When you cruise again, you get amenities like express checkin at the Port, a gift in your stateroom and an invitation to the Captain's reception for repeat guests.

We booked on board for our 2nd cruise for this next January (4nt Wonder and then next cruse 7nt Eastern). I got nothing saying I am a "Castaway Club Member" at that time. When we arrive to our stateroom in January will I get those amenities?

Minybear.....call DCL or your TA and just make sure they note on your ressie that you are a return cruiser. Even though you may never have received any number or documentation in the mail stating you are a member...you are automatically a member just by sailing on DCL once. DCL will have a number for you in their database. You just want to make sure that number is noted on your ressie to get the gifts in the stateroom and the invite to CC club reception onboard. As far as the priority check in at the port....it really is useless unless there is no one else on the line. You can check in on any line and it always seems the CC line is the longest to wait on.

You will get two pins and one beach towel per stateroom, not per person.

minybear, when you book onboard, you are already noted as a Castaway Club member because it is done while you are cruising.
