Using AirMiles for rental cars

THIS JUST HAPPENED TO US 2 WEEKS AGO. I reserved the car months before our trip with Alamo online. Then we decided to cash in some AM points to get the $100 certificates (you can only use one per rental I thought it said on the voucher??). Anyways, I tried calling Alamo to add the voicher code and they said they did not see any such code type and I would have to do it when I arrived in Orlando to the Alamo desk. So in Orlando, they tell us they cannot see the code and we have to leave the que and call Alamo customer service and enter the voucher, which we did, they immediatley added the $100 credit and we had our car. If I were you, make a reservation online at a good rate now (no risk)....then call later and try to apply the code and if for some crazy reason they won't let you, justr make a new one wth them on the phone.
