Using Airmiles for flights

Going from Syracuse may not work for you either. Here is my example

Winnipeg to Orlando on NWA 2800 air miles
Winnipeg to Minneapolis on NWA 900 air miles

Minneapolis to Orlando NWA 3500 air miles

Flying out of the U.S. city there must be some exchange factor. or

I think it's because the program is meant for flights that originate in Canada, or at least have something to do with Canada. Once you start booking flights wholly within the US it brings a whole new set of rules in to play.
