Using a Vanilla Mastercard for ADR

I wonder wether I could use a Vanilla Mastercard to secure my adrs . I'll be making reservations for CRT, Akershus and others. I assume that, since i'll have a dining plan, my card will not be charged for CRT, but they'll keep the number in file, in case we don't show up. Has anyone tried this type of card ? We don't have credit cards anymore, which is why i'm asking. Thanks .

The new policy works a little differently. For some things they actually charge you and then refund. I would call and make sure before you do something that leads to deleted reservations.
