Using a gift card to buy a gift card?

So I got a Disney gift card for Christmas, and my plan this trip is to give my DD, DW, and my mom a smaller gift card since we'll be there on Mother's Day. So can I buy new Disney gift cards using my current disney gift card?

I'm hoping yes, but when I ordered my DD a custom gift card with her picture on it, a disney gift card was not an option to use towards it.

Any ideas?

No, you cannot use a Disney gift card to buy another Disney card. I tried before at Disney Store as a way to combine cards and their computer system won't allow it.

It hasn't been allowed in the past. The gift are website used to spell it out, but the FAQs on the mobile friendly site missed the question entirely. I would not expect to be able to do so.

You can deposit the Gift Card into a Disney Vacation Account and then withdraw the balance in gift cards. That would be the only way to make an exchange in gift card > gift card.
