using a discount code for a show in vegas

we are going to vegas in oct--and planning on seeing some shows--

I did a search for "disounts codes for Donny" just one of the shows were planning

I went to order tickets and put in the code it it did bring the price down nicely

my concern is this legit--I would hate to buy these tickets and then be turned away at the show

I went to the hotel that the show is at for tickets--

has anyone else ever used discount tickets for shows that you just searched for
I can see discounts like for different groups like AAA and such but not just for doing a random search
