Using a cot at All Star Movies?

Thinking ahead to our next trip. Our children want to stay on site. However, they do not sleep well sharing a bed together, and it is crucial that they get a good night's sleep (both have special needs). Would it be possible to buy an air mattress and set it up on the floor somewhere? Or can we request a cot? And if we can... how big of a pain is it going to be moving this around every morning/night? The rooms are tiny, especially when the second bed is pulled down.

I feel like we would have a much better trip staying off site where we can all have separate beds and space to spread out. Anything more expensive than a value just isn't an option unfortunately (a 5th sleeper room at POR or CBR would have been perfect, if not for the cost).

We bring an air mattress on most our trips, fits in front of the door. Housekeeping is happy to provide bedding. Prop up against the wall during the day. Works quite well.

Air mattress. Twin. No cots. Prop the mattress up against a wall in the morning.

this!!!
For 7 days absolutely I would stay on site. Wdw transportation alone is worth it and over 7 days the time and transportation allow for midday breaks/late nights/sleeping in.

We found staying off site using our own car just as fast/faster actually. I hands down prefer off site, but the kids want to stay on site so they can show DH everything he missed last trip. But, I want to make sure everyone actually gets decent sleep.

On that note, is there not enough room for a small cot/rollaway bed? I have read that Disney will provide them on request.

I don't think Disney supplies cots or rollaways at Values or Moderates. I have heard of rollaways at some of the Deluxe resorts. An air mattress or the floor are your options.

There is room, but Disney does not provide rollaway beds at all at the values. You can rent them from offsite for your trip, but you have to be present for pick and drop off. You cannot just have it left at Bell services.

We have used both air mattress and a cot. Either way. It works.
When did you last use a cot at ASMo? I ask because since the refurb with queen beds, I didn’t think a cot will anywhere. Even with an air mattress, part of it has to slip under the Murphy bed.

OP - just be aware that the air mattress will block the door. So if a parent likes to get up early and go for coffee or a run or such while the kids sleep in, it could be a challenge.

Enjoy your vacation!

I haven't ever used one. I wasn't sure if it would fit or not. Hence the question 😁

Thankfully, no one will be getting up/out early before anyone else. But, even just a twin, you feel that even that will slip under the bed some?

And if it is blocking the door then it’s blocking your egress from the room in case of emergency. As a hotelier I really don’t like hearing this. You have less time to get out in an emergency than you think, about 90 seconds max. Try not to do that if you can but if you have to make a plan of how you are going to move it very quickly to get out of the room fast. Very low probability sure, but huge implications if things go wrong.
