The week before our trip at the Poly last year, we added an extra day to our trip. I had to book that night as a split stay without promotions since it was so close, however, the night before our first reservation was over, I called and asked if if I could use the in-room bounce back offer on the split night...and YES, I could! We got an awesome room and deal for that last night. So now, I'm considering doing that for our next May trip.
Anyone else do this? See drawbacks?

We had our flight cancelled due to bad weather up north and had to extend our stay at the BC by two nights. They were able to use the current bounce back offer to give us a discount for our extra nights. We had to take a handicap accessible room, though, since it was the only room that they had open.

It seems, to me, to be the best way to get the most valuable promotion possible. I've never read about anyone else using this method though, so I was worried that I just got lucky that one time.

But not if you already had it booked as a split stay...using the bounceback from the first ressie to get the promo on the second.

Yes, even then. The room has to be available at the point of booking for the discount. It cannot always be applied to an existing booking. Discounts are to fill rooms. The room you booked is already considered full.

O.k. That's what I needed to know. I would hate to go expecting the discount and then not be able to get it.
