Heading down for a quick trip in late July. I know it's peak time, so it probably doesn't make much of a difference; however, which day would be better - Friday or Saturday?

TIA :thumbsup2

Almost no difference. Seriously - flip a coin

We were there last Saturday and it was good and packed by noon. We had FOL passes and that really made the day for us. I can't even imagine waiting 40+ minutes for each ride and still enjoying the visit.

We really loved US and found it to be so much fun!

I just came back from going to USH on July 4th, unexpectedly the most crowded I've ever seen it.
Friday and Saturday shouldn't make a difference for you; however, even with the crowds, getting to everything you want to do is very manageable.

Just curious, how many people are in your group? I was just in a party of 2 yesterday, so we were able to utilize the Single Riders line since we figured, sitting next to each other in Transformers doesn't really make a difference. I could see the distaste for doing single-rider in Disneyland, since I like being with my group on those rides, but for something like Transformers where it's all digital anyway, it didn't make a difference for me if that makes sense.

Get there in the morning and do Despicable Me first. I got there at opening, and the wait was still ~25 minutes. We didn't use single-riders for that since we felt like we still had plenty of time (from early afternoon and on, it got to 65-85 minute waits; then we used Single Rider where the wait was 10-15).

Then do Simpsons since you're not in the Lower Lot yet so you might as well. Then head down to the lower lot and do Transformers, The Mummy, and then Jurassic Park (Jurassic Park waits should never exceed 25 minutes throughout the day). We used Single Riders for Transformers from the get-go since we wanted to try it out. It was pretty awesome; we were able to ride it 3 consecutive times by just walking on. It crashed our first time too, and we both happened to be on the same car anyway (lucky!), so we both got a FOL pass for any ride we wanted.

You'll be able to finish all of these rides by probably noon, then you could just plan for shows and redo the rides you liked with no worry. Studio Tour you can save until 4/5ish, when the wait-times are really short (I heard on the intercom that they were less than 10 minute waits at that time).

Sorry for the essay! Bit of advice, but mostly a recap of my trip. :rolleyes1

It's a bit different than the plans recommended in the past where you head to the lower lot first, but with Despicable Me, I think this plan is better. That ride is easily the most popular right now.

Excellent advice. I've been suggesting this for a long time. Short waits towards the end of the day. Just check to see when the last tour departs so you don't show up too late.
