I guess I like pain so I went over the the Community Board again. Well, it was a mistake. I am now on my way to go have an acid bath.

Yeah, I had the same urge, just finished my bath here. I felt the picture with the bunny in the pot on the stove was just over the top. I really don't remember there being a problem until they came over. I went to a conference on cyberbullying today. Many things were familiar....(and I wasn't even there for most of it!)

I have edited this post due to the fact that there are people in this world who live for the sole purpose of finding a reason to attack others.
Apparently the only people who can say (no pun intended) off color humor or remarks about politicians,, without being prosecuted,, are other politicians and paid professional comedians,,which I am neither.
At no time did I mean any harm or bring reproach upon the good people of the camping community, the good people of these boards or anyone of my family,
and it is for this that I sincerely apologize.

I saw a thread where someone posted that even those on the community board are tired of all the political threads. They suggested a seperate board for political debate.

It looks to me as if that forum does have particular threads for both liberal and conservative views. Which you'd think would work out pretty well. Only then it appears they invade the opposing thread, just to call one another names. I can see where it would get old fast. Not all, but a good many of those that posted seem to just want to be confrontational, not really debate a specific topic. Whether liberal or conservative, it's a "my way or the highway" crowd.

I enjoy a nice debate in the proper forum, thats not what I see though. When the accusations and name calling are there right out of the gate I lose interest. thats not a discussion. Nobody knows me well enough to make those sort of accusations.

That was another thing I noticed, right away, anyone that didnt share their views was ignorant and uneducated and lacked any social graces. The attempt to marginalize others is a common tactic and when they realize that you may have an articulate, well thought out point of view the name calling and personal attacks start.

If you think about it, there are only two groups of people who can be openly ridiculed without public outcry...hillbillies (insert synonym here..rednecks, etc) and fat people....and I R Both!

Not as fat as I used to be....but still a hillbilly!

Liberals are interesting people. They are quick to judge and label. Despite their claim of being open minded, they refuse to accept other opinions and feel obligated to change opposing views. They tend to have very charismatic leaders and will follow them blindly. Their own thoughts are usually regurgitation of the doctrine of those charismatic leaders. They tend to want to control not only the voices of others but their very thoughts. Virtually every repressive government in history has relied on these powers to gain control of their people, and so far, they have all failed. It comes down to one thing - you cannot control the thoughts of your citizens.

you know alot of people don't like me because I run my mouth or I talk too much, but as I have gotten older I have learned to quit trying to please everyone and just please my self. It's really bad when you have a good heart and good and bad convictions about certain things. I don't really care if people like me or not, but if they don't, I want to know why. I try to live my life as free as can be I have aquintances but not true friends because I've been screw to many times so I don't let alot of people get to close. Frankly, I don't want to or have time to deal with it. I drink and party and like to have fun, I like to flirt, but most of the time I'm just me. We have money but it hasn't changed who I am and I don't think it ever will, however it is nice to have, but I could if I had to, do without it. I don't think I'm better than anyone else, and I always try to treat people like I want to be treated. I don't get over things easily it takes a long time if ever. I try to be friends with everyone, and not get into to much trouble but most of the time stuff either comes out without me thinking it thru and it just comes out, and when I try to explain it , it gets worse. I also very blunt, and take things literally. oh well. however i'm closer to some on this board than with anyone else.
