Did a quick scan and would say the "Digital Photography School" is a very good one to read.

I just put it into my Favorites.

Digital Photography School is one of my favorites too. The only trouble is that it's hard to find a particular article that you might be looking for - so I made a link list of all the articles.

I'm also a bit partial to Great Disney World Photos! Barrie

If you're going to list free software (like GIMP), Irfanview needs to be there - it should be the first download for anyone working with pictures on their computer IMHO. It's absolutely indispensible.

For review sites, Megapixel.net is also very good.
