I've been asking IPO lots of questions as I try to make my plans as I'm closing in on my 90 day mark. I hope to try a few new things on this trip since the kids are a bit older.

On the last email she jokingly said she needed a cup of coffee. I thought it would be fun to show my appreciation with a gift card for a coffee shop. Are Dunkin Donut shops everywhere in FL like here in MA? Would Star Bucks be better? I don't have a Krispy Kreme close but could perhaps find one if that would be best.

I think you should get the starbucks gift card. What a cute idea.

When I've been e-mailing with the Contemporary Concierge, they don't sign a name to any of the e-mails, so I don't know who I am corresponding with. Is that the way with all of the IPO's? I wish they would, so I could properly thank them when we get there. They really have been very helpful, and it would be nice to have a name of the person or persons who have been helping me.

I tried to ask this in another post, but didn't get a response. I am just wondering if anyone has stayed in a King Bed Room at the BWI CL. We are worried about the "variable room view" portion of our reservation confirmation, and don't want to be stuck overlooking a service area or roof.

TIA

Poly IPO signs email with a name. :earsboy:

Actually, they all work as a team. Even though you may be dealing with one person via e-mail, it's everyone in the office who's assisting with filling your requests. When I worked with the IPO staff at the YC this past year, I ended up sending a chocolate basket to them with a thank you card. I did get a personal e-mail back from each one on the staff thanking me.

Dear AlexandNessa, yes, DH and I requested a King Room BW view. When we got there, they didn't have BW view so we got Room 4256 and this was the view:

The next day, we moved to a BW view and this is the view from Room 4259:

I believe the first room (4256) was a king bed but definitely Room 4259 was. It was right on the corner above the Flying Fish restaurant.
Hope this helps. We just love the BWI!

Thanks, Dizz42! Both of them are great views, and we'd be happy with either one. :)

You're very welcome, Tia! Will you be on your Honeymoon? If so, be sure to let the Innkeeper Club Staff know. We mentioned it was our Anniversary and look what was in the room when we returned one evening:

Also, one more pix to whet your appetite...

It was hard to sleep with that amazing view!

:confused3 Seeing as this is my first time stay concierge at the Poly? What questions am I suppose to be asking them?

The only major NEED is that GFson only eats "Kellogos Just Right" cereal - will they supply that?

What else should I be asking for..... :earboy2: got to give this IPO people something to do. LOL

Anyone stay CR 14th floor recently - do they have individual bottles of water, or do they have the big ones that they pour from? What about the size of the water if you request it for your fridge in your room?

We were there in December, 2004. Here is the view from our Room 4911:

They had the large glass bottles in the lounge and you could request one to take back to your room. The in-room frig did not have bottles of water. Hope this helps and enjoy your stay!

Thanks! What kind of beverages can you request for the fridge in the room? Can you request that it be stocked with water, skim milk and juice, or is it only stocked with soda?

I just have to write and say what a wonderful response I am getting from the Contemporary's IPO. I sent my requests for dinner for our 14th floor stay in September, and not only did I get everything we wanted, within the time frame we usually like to eat, but I got a reply with the PS's 1 1/2 hours after I sent the requests (and on the 4th of July to boot)!:worship: So, thanks to everyone on this thread for all the advice I have been reading and now we really can't wait until vacation (like we already weren't counting down:rotfl: . WDW here we come!

I've had wonderful service from the CR IPO as well :goodvibes

Dear kaceyisme,

I can honestly say I can't remember too clearly what was in the frig for our stay at the CR 14th floor. I looked and it seems it was mostly soda and beer. We brought our own champagne for New Years Eve and DH took care of it. I can say that everyone was just very pleasant and kind. So much so, we're going back this year for NYE! I think you could just ask them about it if there was something particular you wanted in the frig. I know if it was within their power, they would really try their darned-est to provide it for you. They are just that nice! :flower:

I did email the Poly IPO with our contact info and I got a very nice welcoming reply from Jeffrey. He said that he was unable to access our ressie, since it wasn't in the central reservation system.

Now I'm wondering... since I booked via a TA, how long will it take for my ressie to show up, and will I be able to access it on WDW's site? Can I make payments on my ressie there, or should I do it via my TA?

I believe it's 2 separate issues. When dealing with the IPO staff, it shouldn't matter if you made the reservation on your own or if you did it through a TA. I've done it both ways and never had a problem with them being able to access it. I've spoken with IPO within a few days of making a reservation through a TA. As far as the payments and viewing it on the website, that needs to be done through your TA.

You might want to give your a TA a call just to make sure everything is all set. You're still 8 months out, so reserving tours or dining isn't going to be an issue for a few more months still, but if you wanted IPO's assistance on securing Cirque du Soliel or Hoop De Doo tickets, they should be able to help you out with that now.

Let us know how it goes.

Tammi

Morning, Bionicear! You'll have to make any changes to your ressie and payments through your TA. If you just booked recently there may be a lag between the systems, but I'm not 100% positive. I'd give it a day or two and see if they can pull it up again. In the meantime, I'd also double check with your TA to verify the name and address they put it under. I had a ressie where the first and last name were reversed so they couldn't pull it up for a while. Funny things like that happen though.
