Do you happen to remember what kind of beverages, sodas, were available at the lounge throughout the day?? Do you remember what there was in the way of breakfast offerings?? What were the midday snacks? Again, thanks for your time in answering these questions!

When CL's prep area was moved to the luau kitchen they lost access to a fryer, so spring rolls were replaced with some rather unappealing canapes. Thanks to Chef Dick's persistence, they are now able to use the fryer in the room service kitchen, so the yummy spring rolls are back.
Glad to see Chef Dick was able to convince the management that we must have our spring rolls!
steveanddonna said:To answer the last question first, yes it was wonderful! I am, of course, somewhat biased, as you all know! I was travelling completely solo on the first day, as a friend I was supposed to meet had to cancel. Thanks to the warm welcomes from all my favorite CMs at Poly CL, I felt right at home immediately.
I will be writing a trip report, but not 'til after the inevitable mountains of laundry, mail, messages, etc. are handled. SeaSpray, my report will probably cover parks and the Lizard activities more than the resort. For anyone with specific questions, I'll try to answer them right away if you ask.
BlueFairy1, it would be easy for me to make a light meal out of the evening snack offerings, but I prefer a large midday meal and very light supper anyways. To give you an idea of what was offered:
This is in addition to assorted raw veggies and dip, fresh pineapple, cheese cubes, crackers, and whole fruits. There are also Uncrustable PB&J sandwiches on the kids' counter. Monday I believe is still sushi night, and Tuesday features beef & chicken satay skewers. And yes, the spring rolls really are back. - Wednesday - chicken wings, fried rice
- Thursday - barbecued ribs, pasta salad
- Friday - spring rolls, chicken lo mein
- Saturday - barbecued pork on buns, potato salad
- Sunday - macaroni & cheese, chicken caeser salad
7thdwarf/dopey, housekeeping was fine, no problems there. I have had an occasional issue in the past, but it has always been resolved promptly as soon as I stated the problem to one of the concierge CMs. The housekeeper this time even left lots of extra toiletries on our next to last day.
Lynn, I have not heard from WoodysRoundup since January, but I believe she has chosen to "retire" from the Dis boards. She also has an infant and two preschoolers who keep her quite busy.
steveanddonna said:SeaSpray, I can't answer the soda question as to types (more specific than Coke products), 'cuz I don't drink it, but canned soda was available either on a tray on the counter or by request from a CM at various times of day. Iced tea, lemonade, orange-guava juice, and Vittel water were available throughout the day, as well as the beverages from the espresso machine and chocolate milk by request.
Breakfast seemed pretty much the same as on our previous trips, with croissants, danish, bagels, pineapple bread, a selection of cold cereals, fruit (both cut and whole), milk (whole & skim), condiments (peanut butter, cream cheese, butter, margarine, jelly) all available. Yogurt, instant oatmeal, wheat bread and apple juice were available by request. The afternoon snacks also remain pretty much the same. Offerings included whole fruit, gummi candies, Runts, mixed nuts and goldfish crackers, plus the addition of a new item, hummus with mini-pitas.
As you can see, contrary to some other threads/posts, it didn't seem that Poly CL has cut back, but rather changed varieties and sometimes presentation.
