Hmmm..We didn't get a Welcome Present this past June at AK Concierge! We also booked the Sunset Safari too.

Hmm..guess they liked you better! ;)

We got a brown paper bag and in it was an African Statue and our tickets for Sunset Safari, so I don't know if it was normal or because we had booked the Safari. I just know that we got it when we checked in.

Here's a pic of the "brown paper bag"

We did the Sunset Safari in May, we didn't get anything either. :confused3 Odd??

I've heard from another DISer who is a frequent guest at AKL. Apparently they often "run out" of the gifts, so not every CL guest gets the gift every time.

During the afternoon we hardly heard any construction noise and our room is over the area that is being worked on.

Hi,
We just booked BC CL for our anniversary trip in Oct. :cool1: We've never stayed CL before and to be honest, other then the check-in and lounge, I have no idea what to expect. We got a great deal, it's only costing us $200 more for the week then our standard room that we had.

Any tips? I've been looking through this thread and there is so much info. I'm a bit overwhelmed! Help!:confused3

Thanks, Karen

BWV has lobby concierge; is that what you are looking for? (BWV doesn't have club level; BWI does)

How did you work tips for mousekeeping and turndown service? Usually, on non-CL trips, we leave a designated envelope on the vanity daily. If we won't be returning to our room prior to turning in for the night, where/how can we leave a tip envelope for just the turndown service? I wouldn't want the morning mousekeeping service to mistakenly take both envelopes. Thanks!

What are your dates in October. It just says 2 months on your countdown. Mine says 1 month, 4 weeks and a few days. We will be staying Club Level Ocober 23-26. This will be our 1st time at BC, but we had Club Level at AKL a few years ago.

I'm not sure how you can avoid that. You might want to try putting AM and PM on them. We always come back mid-day for something so it's not been an issue for us.

We'll be in the world 10/20 - 25. We decided to go with the Boardwalk Inn so I won't see you at SAB. We were originally booked there (BW) and then I saw a great price for club level at BC and put a hold on that. In the end, we really wanted to stay at BWI, no CL but if it becomes available we'll upgrade. We've never stayed CL before and it's just DH and I so we wanted to splurge a bit.

How was AKL? I've always wanted to stay there, it just seems so far from everything, did you feel that way? AK and Epcot are our favorite parks.

I would put "Mousekeeping" on one envelope and leave it on the bathroom vanity and put "Turndown Sevice" on another envelope and leave it on the nightstand.

Who knows, we may still run into eachother sometime during the trip. We walk over to the Boardwalk on many of our trips just for the entertainment.

As far as AKL goes, we stayed CL and had a Savannah view. We weren't on the concierge floor but our room key accessed the lounge floor. They put us on a lower floor with a better view. We had turndown service every day. Animals outside our window were fantastic and very relaxing to watch. We did the Sunset Safari, which was very interesting & fun. The Lodge is very beautiful to walk around and take it all in.

What kind of tip do we leave for turn down service- and if you are cl guests, do you automatically get turn down service?

Your tip will depend on the number of people in your room. A few bucks a head is typical. HTH

wood145 - We love AKL because it feels like you're in your own little world. :lovestruc Bus service has always been great. The dining is exceptional there, too. No worries! :goodvibes
