We already have a ressie at WL club level and we have changed our minds and are going to be calling our AAA TA tomorrow and changing it to YC club level. We already have all the adr's and room requests done w/ WL IPO (I contacted IPO myself and didn't use our TA for that), how do we go about changing our IPO requests from WL to YC? Should I wait until the ressie is changed and then call YC IPO and discuss it w/ them? Also, I read somewhere that YC club level have balconies that are shared w/ other rooms and there are no private balconies for cl guests at YC, is that true? Thanks :)

Just a heads up about the club level at yact club, it was our least favorite for a few reasons. Personally, I would not stay club level there again. First of all, the club area is VERY small and EXTREMELY crowded! The people were waiting in lines to get the food and it was very hard to get around the tables to get to the food. Secondly, we paid for a lagoon view and couldn't see the water unless we stood out on the balcony and crained our necks. Also, our room didn't have a daybed so we had a rollaway delivered...it had no sheets on it at all and then blocked our balcony entrance! The CM at club level did not say hello or acknowledge us. After a few calls, we changed our room to a better one BUT the overall mood was already dampened. We have also stayed club level at the WL, AKL, CR, and BW. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of those hotels at the club level. We really enjoyed the WL club level service. Curious, why are you switching?

We have stayed at the YC club level several times and absolutely loved it! Everyone was so nice and bent over backward to make us feel welcome. Even to the extent that one lady at the club level, remembered us from the last trip, and stocked our fridge and room with our favorite things. Such as drinks and snacks! I am so sorry that you had a crummy experience :sad2: YC is our favorite!

Your itinerary will remain intact. You're right - once you have your new reservation, just contact YC IPO and let them know. They can move it over for you. :thumbsup2
Don't know about the balconies~

Curious, why are you switching?

We are switching b/c we've stayed at WL for the last 2 yrs. and DH is a fan of Epcot and has always wanted to stay YC. We want to try something different besides WL. We love WL and would recommend it to anyone! I am sorry you had such a bad experience there and thanks for your input/advice.

Johnsonet thank you, I figured contacting IPO would be the sure thing to do, just needed someone to back me up on it  Thanks again!

teacher5, what time of year did you go to YC? Wondering if that had anything to do with it. I think it's awful that you were not given a full-on lagoon view to start with. Did you use a TA?

I dont know about ALL of the concierge rooms at the YC, but the 2 times we stayed there we had very nice balconies that weren't shared with other rooms.

Did you mean shared completely, or where there is a row of balconies with dividers between them? I cant remember if that was the case or not, but I do remember that we had plenty of privacy.:)

Specifically, where in the resort is the BWI concierge lounge located?

We have been "evicted" from our AKV concierge room in Oct and moved to BWV, they are giving us access to the lounge in the Inn. I'm wondering how much of a hike it is going to be.

Also, will the AKV IPO transfer my info over or will I have to contact BWI IPO myself?

TIA

Not sure about BWI, but I would ask AKL IPO to transfer everything for you, especially since it wasn't your choice to move out of AKL.

Sorry you are being "evicted".

It would be quite a hike I'm afraid - the lounge is located on the 4th floor towards the ESPN end of the complex.

Our stay was in June of this year. We also did not get any special checking in service. We had to go to the front desk, just like everyone else. I even asked the greeter where club level guests check in and that is what he told me. Is that true?
Another "small" issue was that the housekeeper used my hat as part of towel animal and so I completely forgot about it when we checked out. I took the trouble of going back to the hotel twice about it, filling out the paper work and having them look in the lost and found. I never got the hat back.

Nightmare!
I'm so sorry to hear about this.
The BWI club lounge is very nice, though, and I believe I read a month or so ago that it has been recently renovated. But it would be totally inconvenient for someone staying in the Villas
AKV concierge, though, would be fabulous - are you considering rescheduling?

Well, now we're not moving :yay: . I got another call this morning telling me that we would stay at AKV concierge. I'm very, very happy. We've never stayed concierge and I was really looking forward to it and I knew we'd never fully enjoy it at BWI/BWV due to the distance.

That's so great! I would have been unhappy to have to move, too. We're staying AKL CL and I hear it's fantastic. Plus, AKL is such a beautiful resort!!! I hope you have a wonderful time!!!:)

The contact info on page 1 of this thread is old and out of date. Does anyone have the updated email addresses for IPO at the Poly???

We reserved a Deluxe Room - Club Level (WS) at Beach Club. We were told that this room could be on any floor. My only request was that it not be on the 1st floor. Where is the Club Level Lounge located? Is there a separate check-in desk for Concierge or do you just go to the main check-in desk? We stayed at AKLC a few years back and were sent to a special desk in the lobby to check-in & have someone take us up to the lounge to get our keys and welcome present. Just wondering how things work at BC.

TIA

We aren't able to change to YC concierge level after all. There are no garden view cl rooms w/aaa available. Lagoon view was available w/aaa discount, but we didn't want that. I could pay rack rate for the room, but no  It would have only been $340 more than our WL concierge room to stay at the YC concierge, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I won't have to change adr's either. We are still very excited about WL, we love it there :lovestruc

We got a brown paper bag and in it was an African Statue and our tickets for Sunset Safari, so I don't know if it was normal or because we had booked the Safari. I just know that we got it when we checked in.
