We booked a 2 br princess suite and come to find it's not in the Hawaii bldg! I'm kinda bummed. How long of a hike will this be to Hawaii - will there be at least coffee available in Tonga? If anyone has stayed in Tonga, I'd love to hear your impressions. Does anyone happen to have pics I can see? I've worked my way through this thread (really helped me a lot!) and I know someone named Steve has a web-site, but I can't find the site - can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hi, I've stayed at YC and BWI concierge before (preferred BWI concierge) but am thinking of trying the BC concierge.

Am looking to go early May, but have been in December before and both resorts were extremely crowded (apparently both were full), so hoping May might be a little quieter?

Forgetting the crowds, can anyone say what the BC concierge is like? Is it like YC/BWI? Also, it's just going to be adults, we really like the theming of the BC but are a little worried it's more suited to families than the YC/BWI?

Thanks

BC is most like YC in design and size. Yes, BC will have more families but it's not as large of property as BWI. If you are going early to mid-May there will be some families particularly with younger children but it won't be packed to gills like a summer visit.

So, the entire 5th floor is now DVC. But none of these rooms (on the 5th floor) have concierge lounge access. Correct?

I guess I am trying to figure out whether the concierge lounge now handles twice (or nearly twice) as many people. It sounds like it doesn't.

Ed

Ed, most but not all of 5th floor is DVC. I noticed some rooms that overlook the entrance that lacked the DVC emblem as well as some near the suites. The latter may be connecting rooms to the suites.

And yes, none of the 5th floor DVC villas have concierge access...only the 6th floor villas do. Since a 1 BR villa has occupancy of 5 but takes the space of two former deluxe rooms with a combined occupancy of 10, the club level shouldn't be as busy unless they increased the number of club level hotel rooms.

Hi everybody.
We got a suite at the BWI for December and I was wondering about the food, and service for club level there. After staying recently at the Poly LVC and enjoying everything so much we cant wait to try the BWI.:)
So how is it at BWI?

Hi everyone! We have just booked the Atrium club concierge level at the CR. Last year when we stayed there we had Larry as our Itinerary planner and we had such a wonderful, magical experience...he really went all out for us. It was so good that we decided to stay there again. Unfortunately Larry is no longer working for the concierge section anymore and another person replied to my email called Becky....so just wondering if anyone has dealt with her before and have they had good experiences? Hope you can help, thanks:thumbsup2

Well, I just worked with her for our May trip coming up . She seemed really nice when she contacted me, but~~ I made most of my own ADR's, especially V & A . You see, when Larry was there he contacted me and made note of all my adr's. When I found out some-one else was handling them I decided to do it on my own and I let her know. Well, around 3 weeks later I was at Disney on a different trip and asked for a print out of all my reservations and I found out that the ones at the CR were not what I made. She not only made me new ADR's at all the wrong times and even on the wrong day but she canceled my V & A !!! I had to call and luckily they still had room for us. This is for our 25th anniversary dinner!! So, I don't know what to advise. I won't let her do anymore for us. We are going there in May and I'll stick to doing my own.

Does anyone know if Stephanie is still working in the IPO office for the grand floridian and the contemporary? I'm not sure if she has moved on but I know she was thee in Oct 07. Thanks.

Hi everyone. We changed our reservation from GF SL to GV last week. We have talked a lot about this over the weekend and may decide to go back to SL. Our dates are Dec 23-28. We are celebrating our 10 year Anniversary and our first Christmas at WDW so I want to make this very special.

A few questions and we may be switching back:

Will they set up a tree in my room (if I ship before we leave) and store gifts until Christmas Eve?

Do they do anything special for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day??

Do they have chocolate milk?? (my dd has to have this every night before bed)

I read there is no bottled water...is this correct?

I know they said they would shop for gifts. Is there a list of things they can get for you?

TIA!:santa:

The GF has choclate milk but it was never out and you always have to ask for it.

If you tell the planner what you want and give them a CC number you will fine.

I was there this dec and we had a tree in the room and stockings filled with candy. IF you can dream it most of the CMs will and or can do it.

Usually they will set up the tree but it depends on when you need it done and such. This to usually requires a great CM and extra time and effort on there part. THey did it for and I know they have done it for others.

The staff at the BWI is awesome. I have stayed there several times and it is wonderful. The concierge staff of Jackie, Lorenzo, Pete, Jancie and others is one of the best on propoerty. THe IPO staff is also wonderful. I have never had an issue staying there. Tee lounge was very nice, comfortable and the food offerings were excellent. They get the evening apps from the places to eat around the BWI. Are you staying in a garden suite or the Steeplechase Suite or the Sonora Suite?

I just emailed Becky and she has been great! We are very excited about a hopefully MK view Concierge room in September.

Hi all,
I am new to this thread..its great! I apologize if a question like this has already been answered...
It will be our six year old's birthday when we stay at GF Royal Palm Club in August. If I email the concierge, can they do anything to the room before we arrive?
