has anyone heard from IPO regarding F&W festival events they've asked to be booked? I know they are all probably swamped today since ticket sales opened for these events, but I always get nervous when I don't receive a response to an email I've sent.
 
It took awhile (approx. 24 hours) but I finally heard back from the WL IPO. It was what I thought....they didn't have my contact info. They also approved my special request to have Krispy Kreme donuts on my birthday.:) However, they asked for my credit card so that they "may move forward with this request". I guess we have to pay for them?:confused3 If so, that's ok. If they weren't providing them we would have to make a trip off property for them anyway. They're at least saving us time and gas.
 
Has any one who has been working with Calvin not heard from him lately? I was working with him and was very happy now my emails are being responded to by some one else and I'm less than thrilled!:confused3

I was working with him too, I e-mailed him back and heard from someone else a week later. I am staying at the Contemporary not the GF, I wonder if he is working both resorts.?

I'm staying at the Contemporary too! But I think the GF & CR IPO offices are combined.
I even asked the new person about Calvin not being available but she didn't acknowledge it.

thats to bad. Calvin was great to deal with in July. I am sending you a PM.
 
If you book thru a TA or travel company you need to email the IPO and intro yourself with your reservation number. Thats the best way to get teh ball rolling with them.
 
I've already corresponded via email with IPO several times for my trip. Usually I hear back right away. The last time I emailed asking about F&W event bookings I received an email response with no name in the signature. I've already sent my CC info ( twice! ), and asked for an updated itinerary so I would know what had been booked.
To the poster who asked about Krispy Kremes- I thought these were available in the lounge at breakfast? I'm not sure why you would be charged for them:confused:

I am staying club level at the Beach Club 1 -4 September. I have not heard from IPO - nor do I have a contact e-mail address.

I did e-mail Disney last week to ask for the e-mail contact address (on previous club level stays at GF, Poly and AKL I received an e-mail from concierge asking if we required any reservations, special request etc.), but was told that the Beach Club club level does not have an e-mail address - I thought this was part of the extra cost for a club level room, having a contact to help sort reservations etc. out.

Has anyone else had this problem.

(PS I am leaving in 10 days for a 2 week cruise before my Beach Club stay, so need to sort stuff out soon).

They share their IPO with the Yacht Club and the Boardwalk. Try this e-mail address: wdw.ybbw.concierge@disney.com I have found them to be wonderful, at least the Boardwalk, I think the same CM's might deal with all 3 resorts.
 
How many days do you think I should wait before I contact IPO again? I hate to be a pest, but it's hard to know if they've followed through on a request when there's no response to my email:confused:

If they had been there, believe me, I would have known. ;) I can spot them a mile away! It was just your average breakfast bread items. The only place I've seen them on property is Chef Mickey's. I was in KK heaven there! Only problem was....they weren't hot. As for paying for them....I don't know. Seems kinda odd that I would have to pay for them when they obviously have a contract with KK and probably wouldn't even have to leave WDW property to obtain them. Maybe they want my CC info for other reasons.:confused3

I guess I'll give IPO another day or two to get back to me before I contact them again :(

Are you staying at the CR? They are slow getting back sometimes. I would not give them more than 1 week. Then just tell them you wanted to make sure they got your e-mail and to respond asap. I had a CM e-mail me back after a week telling me she wasn't sure if she got back to me or not. She had done what I requested. But I have learned to follow up, I would even give them a friendly e-mail asking if they received yours now. Your trip looks like it is too close to wait a week.

Have you considered waiting until you get there and then putting in the request? I wonder if they would still charge you. The concierge CM's really go out of there way for special requests.

If 3 days had gone by I would call them again.
 
I received not one but TWO very nice emails today from CR Concierge. All my requests are set :thumbsup2 I'm bringing a Disney newbie with me this trip, and she's had a rough year ( she lost her brother , and her dad was extremely sick :( ), so I'm trying to make this trip as special and stress free as I can for her :)

Probably a worthless post, but I know for 100% sure they USED to have KK's in the lounge. That was one reason the CR used to be my kids fave, LOL.:goodvibes We had never had them before & LOVE them.:love:

Since they have KKs currently at CM's I don't see why it would be a problem to have them in the lounge? I think they have tried to standardize the offerings throughout the resorts and they don't have them at the GF or Poly.:confused: My kids would be much happier if they did! They used to have choc sprinkled donuts, too. I don't normally let my kids eat lots of junk, but on vacation it's something they look forward to.:rotfl: (me too ;) )

I thought I read they do have them at YC/BC currently.
