since Thurs....
and I just asked a few questions
and I just asked a few questions
and I just asked a few questions
The club level lounges have a coffee machine that actually makes hot chocolate as well. I'm sure you can walk to the lounge, grab a cup and bring it back to your room. Otherwise, simply call room service and they'll be glad to deliver some.I just thought of something. Do you think it would be too much to ask for hot chocolate at night while watching the animals at AKL at night? Do they have it at the hotel or is the shop at Downtown Disney the best?

I'm so glad I found this thread!!We'll be down there in Dec staying at the WL. I just e-mailed the IPO, so hopefully I'll hear back from them in a couple of days.
My DH is diabetic and both of us are doing the South Beach Diet, so I'm wondering if anyone has ever asked concierge if they could make some sugar-free snacks and/or desserts?
It sounds funny to say "sugar-free" and "desserts" in the same sentence, but you know what I mean. LOL
While I have no personal experience in this area, I do know that others have made just such a request and it is not a problem. I would start with IPO and see if they are able to put you in touch with Chef Dick and the lounge crew, guessing that you are at the Polynesian. Dick is always willing to make special accommodations for his guests. If you are at another concierge level, I'm sure they will be just as happy to assist you.
I'll send an email out to IPO. We'll be at the Polynesian in just over 3 weeks.
We were in CL , then moved to VWL, and back to CL...so after a few emails and such, no phone calls...I was just left disappointed with the lack of "personal touch" I felt within their emails

Just wondering if I expected too much?
...Staying at WL...wanted to try another MK resortWe were in CL , then moved to VWL, and back to CL...so after a few emails and such, no phone calls...I was just left disappointed with the lack of "personal touch" I felt within their emails
I shared some personal tidbits abt our history w/WDW..never a response, it felt like a generated email, like we were just another reservation #
So...I changed my res, used the new code and went to a courtyard view.
After reading so many positive things regarding how guests send gifts to their IPO"s and such...I assumed it was a different kind of correspondence than just a generated email.
I can see if our trip was months away, but its less than 2 mths at this point.
So no CL for us this trip.

I hope you have a MAGICAL vacation! Maybe you can take the $$ you saved and do something else really special.

lol
Have fun
When are you going? We'll be there 12/7 thru 12/11. I have all my ADR's all ready. The IPO has been very helpful.
