Used wedding dress advice...?

Hi all!

I'm borrowing my sister's wedding dress, since it is nicer than anything I would pick out for myself (yay). It is well stored..and she had it cleaned. However, it is quite wrinkled. I am from Canada...getting married in November. Wondering if arriving 5 days before the wedding is enough time to have this dealt with in Florida. Or...should I do something to it before the flight? What exactly do I need to get done? I don't know much about dresses.

If you're just worried about getting the wrinkles out, a lot of the brides on here use Carolyn Allens, she can be booked in to come to your room the morning of the wedding and steam your dress for you.

We booked our dress steaming online through a form on her website. You get to pay day of - good for us since I can't use my credit card across the border and we're traveling from Canada too

What does she charge for 1 wedding dress (ballgown style)? We are having a 10:30AM ceremony, would there be enough time to steam? Thinking of just investing in our own

Charges usually range from $80-$100 depending on the material your dress is made of and how difficult it is to steam. They can come to your room as early as you need - they came at 5:30am for us.

I believe the online booking form gives you a price estimate.

Thanks everyone! So, assuming the dress is cleaned, the only thing I need to do to get it ready is have it fitted and steamed...right?
