My cousin got a pin code in the mail so I called to see if there was one attached to my name. They were very vague and wouldn't read me the terms of the promo but said the rate of a value resort for my dates would be $61.75 from $95. I put a hold on the ressie. Just by doing the amount off x the number of days, I should be saving $266. It turns out that the new price is only $127 off from the regular price. Did anyone else feel like they didn't save as much with the pin as the math said you should?

I did. We did a 35% off pin to book our vacation in early December and when I re-entered the details for the 40% pin it actually came out to slightly more then our current price.

I found "Disney math" odd the whole time we were looking into booking our vacation.

Ok, I called back and he reassured me that the promo was applied to my entire stay. Doesn't add up to 35% off, that's for sure. Thanks!!

Tell us your travel dates so we can calculate it with you. Remember weekends are higher.

Weekends are more, and the fact that resorts, depending on where you are staying have different tax rates.

My dates are 11/27-12/4. This is with 8 day park hopper, dining plus, and insurance in a standard room at Pop. The disney site gave me 2458. The CM on the phone told me that the promo would take the $95 (weekday) rate at a value down to $61.75. So when I subtracted the discounted rate from the regular one I got a savings of $33.25 per night times 8 nights should be a savings of $266 (actually a tiny bit more because two of the nights are a weekend costing more which would yield a slightly higher discount. But the total rate with the discount was $2321. That is only $137 savings.

Did you happen to get a confirmation email with rate broken down daily? If not I would call back and ask them to do that for you. We just went through this, and it turned out the first CM had led me to believe my total stay was covered under the PIN, but when my total didn't match theirs I called back and they said my last two days were rack rate as they were blacked out (even though they were smack in the middle of the PIN dates offered??). I asked why they hadn't told me this originally and he said they don't have the daily rate break down available when they book, they just know that at least a portion of your dates are covered.

Packages do not provide a rate breakdown. (Room only reservations do.)
