I have a wood swing set made by Rainbow. I bought it 5 years ago for $2500. Kids never use it, thinking of selling it. How much should I ask?
It has 2 swings, a trapeez bar, a glider, a rock wall with a rope ,a fort with steering wheel and telescope and a built in picnic table underneath it. There are money bars across with the top with a side ladder.
It needs to be power washed (which I'll do) the trapeez needs some paint, and the whole set could be sealed (i won't do that). I can place an add in my neighborhood's paper, just don't know what to ask, any ideas??

I've heard that Rainbow offers a "relocation" service for their sets - they'll have someone come out and disassemble it at your house, then reassemble it at the buyer's location (for a fee). I have no clue what the going rate for swingsets is, but I know as a buyer, I'd be more likely to buy if I knew I didn't have to do that part.

Definatly knock the cost off the water sealant (a DIY price). Especially here in Florida, it's highly important and I wouldn't buy a set that didn't have it.
For a wooden set that should get like 10-15+ years use out of it. It's possible to sell it for more than 50% of the cost, maybe like 1700$. make sure you examine it if it's got no sealant on it for wood damage. Especially where in meets the ground as it doesn't dry as fast.

When I bought ours years ago, we were told it costs $500 to move it.

But we got ours when a neighbor who was moving knocked on our door and asked us to take it. It's homemade, I think, but my husband and the neighbor moved it to our yard, and my dad put it together again. The new buyers didn't want it--good luck for us.

The new neighbors then moved a year later and gifted us one of those really nice plastic houses for kids to play in.

None of it ever cost us anything. Go neighbors!

We have a Rainbow Castle. Rainbow moved it for us when we bought a new house a few years ago. It was a 3 mile move and it cost $500 to move. So yes, they will move it, but for a price. (worth every penny though!)

I've seen them sold on ebay (used) and they get decent money. I would say you could get $1000.
