Has anyone used priceline for hotels in WDW area lately? We're looking for a cheap one night before our changeover to ASmo. I just wondered what hotels were coming up these days.

Depending when your trip is, you might be able to snag the Swan/Dolphin for the unheard of bargain of $41.00/night. Cheap enough?

Visit TravelSheryl's Bidding for Travel / Orlando

Don't forget to read the FAQ's first and bid using the Free Bonus Money link.

DVC CA? check the bidding for travel site. Travel Sheryl believes the swan/dolphin deal was a hoax. They cant find any other validated info. Ive been watching for weeks planning to go down dec. 26th. Hope this helps and keeps someone from trying to get it again.

One post was a hoax and another was a mistake but now they have some posters who really did get the Swan or Dolphin for incredible prices.

Thanks for the info everyone, but I can't attach to either of these sites. Any ideas?

Anybody get S/D for next week at the $41 & bonus money on Priceline. All I am noticing is for Christmas/New Years.

I was trying to get the swan or dolphin for 12-26/1-1-02. BUt today instead they upgraded me to a resort (thanks) and gave me the Marriott Orlando World Trade Center. $44.00 per night. They say its very nice and right across/under I 4. Anyone stayed here before?

leslieh -

I've stayed at MOWC twice through Priceline. At the time I paid about $60.00 using the $25 Bonus Money (!) and thought I received a great deal. It is a very large resort that caters to business and convention travelers. If you have a car, it is very conveniently located. It is very near Downtown Disney and minutes to MGM and Epcot. There is a fee for the shuttle bus (didn't use it, had a rental at the time) and a resort fee for telephone, newspaper, etc.

The rooms were large, clean and very tastefully furnished. If the weather is warm enough, there is a great pool with waterfalls and slide. Large snackbar downstairs and a Starbucks in the lobby. We enjoyed it very much.

The Swan/Dolphin are prized wins because of their "on-sight" status with convenient boats to MGM/Epcot and buses to MK. However, the quality of both MOWC and S/D are comparable(IMHO). :D

Enjoy, Steve

Thanks Steve! I was very glad to read your post on MOWC because I am sitting hear second guessing myself on a bid I made through Priceline that was accepted for 12/21 & 22 ($45 + $5 bonus bucks). We were not partial to either Wyndham Palace, MOWC, Swan or Dolphin and were happy upon getting MOWC, but then of course, I had to go digging back into lots of other posts on the bidding for travel board and it seemed like MOWC was a disappointment to the majority who got it on a bid. Therefore, I had to wonder if our family was going to end up feeling like our good luck was actually bad luck.

this summer i was trying to get swan or dolphin through priceline and ended up with mowc, i was disappointed not to get swan or dolphin until i looked on line at mowc and then when we got there it was beautiful and the rooms were great, the only complaint we had was parking it was far away but we hear they have a shuttle bus, we always walked as it was beautiful. i would stay there again in a heart beat.

I stayed at MOWC for a convention recently. The convention rate was $190 a night so you got a great deal. The hotel has a great pool. Our only issue was that the lobby was undergoing renovation which made navigating around just a little complicated. That could be fixed by now though. We were in the South Tower which actually had good self parking -you might ask to be put there!

Thanks & very glad to hear your family was happy with MOWC as well. We enjoy trying different hotels so this was one of the reasons we bid on Priceline. Just started to get concerned when some of the posts we'd seen seemed to 'sound' disappointed about getting MOWC . On previous trips we've been to All Stars, Old Key West, Boardwalk & Downtown Disney Marriott. We were happy with the price & fact that we got MOWC and are glad to hear about your recent positive experience there.
