A little background, we took DCL last year and were scheduled to fly with Delta - lo and behold the strike was looming, I panicked and purchased another set of tix on Jet Blue at a MUCH cheaper price than originally spent (almost 1/2!!). I had till 1/9/07 to use the credit. We are now going to WDW for Easter and since the airfares were off the chart, went with 2 one way tix through SW the day the dates were released. I purchased a refundable tix for the return flight hoping for a ding. If not, then cheaper fare on Delta or Jet Blue, turn in my SW and get my $$ back. Looks like prices are going up instead of down, so I caved last night and turned in our Delta credits. I now have to call SW and get my $$ refunded. I am glad I am using the credits and saving $600 in return airfare fees, but I still am irked that I used a round trip ticket for a one way ticket :scared1: !! Has anyone else been in this situation before? I really wanted to save the credit for another trip later this year, but the fares are so much more now than they were last year.

I rarely use SW (they aren't in my neck of the woods) but will they give you the credit for the flight TO MCO and use that credit for a later flight? Just a thought if you really hated wasting a completely good round trip ticket.

Oh - I never thought of that. This is our first time using SW - usually only go Jetblue or Delta cause I get better rates (go figure?). I am going to call them and see if I can do that.
