So I need a used camera cause mine finally died. I have looked online and I like the fallowing:
Panasonic Digital - Point and Shoots 6 MEGAPIXEL BLACK WITH BATTERY & CHARGER (SD CARD ) DIGITAL AUTO FOCUS POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA

Fujifilm Finepix Z20fd 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom

Olympus X-42 12 MP Digital Camera, 5x Optical Zoom, Red - Refurbished

Kodak Easyshare C1505 12 MP Digital Camera with 5x Digital Zoom - Red

Fuji Digital S 700 7.1 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA ONLY (XD CARD, SD CARD )(4/AA)

Kodak Digital Z710 7.1 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA ONLY (SD CARD )(2/AA)

Panasonic Digital FZ 7 6 MEGAPIXEL BLACK WITH BATTERY & CHARGER

I want somthing that shoots pictures as nice as my sony A230 and I dont blow my photos up larger than 8 by 10. Im out in the woods alot so I need somthing rugged. Im open to suggestions too but only have $50ish to spend. Also wouldnt mind if it had manual mode

All I can say is that sounds like a tall order. In plentiful light, it might be doable, but beyond that … "Good luck, bro!"

I dont do alot of low light. Im a nature photographer for the most part. I just need to pick one of those cameras and work it.

Is this for real?

I mean like clarity wise! I know they wont come out as nice but my DSRL broke so its time to replace it. which one of the cameras above is best?

For a practical start, I would try avoid those that take AA batteries. They are a PITA with constant need for charging, whereas a lithium battery should easily keep you going all day.

When I try make a decision I usually start by doing a search for reviews to get an idea, and then try find some sample images taken with the cameras. That should help you narrow down your search for a start.

I see you have the Kodak Z710 listed and can comment on that. It's a bridge camera so there you have your manual mode (limited, compared to your Sony, but it gives you more control over your settings than a standard point and shoot. I've just taken pictures of mine to list it on eBay tonight, but it won't help you as I'm not in the US.

It is a fantastic little camera and I was very happy with it. I would probably still be using it if I hadn't switched to DSLR. You may also find it more comfortable if suddenly switching from a more solidly built camera. I have never liked the super slim lightweight compacts which was another plus for me. It served me very well for a couple of years. The major drawback is that it only takes 2AA batteries and it chews the power out of them in no time. Fuji also stayed with AA's in similar cameras, but Fuji uses four which helps a lot.

are there other bridge cameras that dont use AA bateries? How many mega pixels does one need to have nice 8 by 10's?

The one I had was a 7.1 which was more than my Nikon D40 had and I had no problem doing 8x10 prints with either of them, but you have to be careful if you are cropping as I think the reduction in res would start to show quite quickly.

I don't know which ones take lithium batteries now. I bought mine about 5 years ago and haven't looked at point & shoot/bridge cameras for some time now so I'm probably out of touch. It's quite possible that things have changed. You would need to do a bit of research first. I hope you find what you're looking for

That one is going to give you a lot more than the Kodak you were looking at but I'm not sure you're going to get that for $50

Then I would definitely take that over the Kodak. It's a newer camera, has better res for your enlargements and takes 4 AA's, not 2 like the Kodak.
Ive narrowed it down to these two: there both around the same price (about a $3 differance) So which should I buy? I know the first one has been discontuined and the second has full manual functioning.
