Used an awesome National code for my April trip!

Thanks OP!! - this code gave me the best rate for early May with National. I'm an EA member and prefer to use Nat'l or Alamo if I can.

I joined the KLM blue flyer and used the code and got great rate. The only problem is even though I am EC member and was logged in, it says level of service is counter. So for some reason aisle can't be used with this code. I cancelled the reservation, which I had to call, can not do online.

My level of service with this code says Emerald Reserve so it can be done. If you use an upgrade coupon that will automatically kick you into counter service no matter what code you use.

I've used the code several times and received aisle service every time. Make sure that you reserved a mid-sized car. If you reserve anything else it will not list it as aisle service.

Maybe I'll try again. I reserved a compact and used an upgrade coupon to mid-size. Will try without and see what happens. Thank you!

Thanks again, just rebooked with midsize and it is aisle service. So far 33.00 less than the Alamo rate I have. I'll keep checking rates, don't leave until 19th, so still hoping for lower than 216.76

Glad it worked out :thumbsup2

This offer gives me a great rate for our June trip. Where did it come from? Can anyone use it?

You can use it, but to be safe, go ahead and join the flying blue FF program for Air France/KLM. The code is for National as a partner of their FF program...no fee to join.

It's the coupon that's making you use the aisle, not the size of car. If you want to use a coupon, you're going to have to use the counter or kiosk. You can't go directly to the lot with a coupon.

Here is what my reservation reads:

Emerald Club Members:
# Proceed to the Emerald Club area.

# All other National customers: Please proceed to the counter located in the middle of the first floor in the terminal to obtain your rental agreement.
# Rental counters located in terminals A and B on Level One below all airline baggage claim lobbies.
# Terminal A - services AA, CO, NK.
# Terminal B - services DL, NW, UA, US

I have the KLM Code and the $35.00 coupon. I am going right to the vehicle and on to the exit booth. :thumbsup2

Yes you can use a coupon and the aisle. I do it all the time and not just at MCO. In order to use the Emerald Aisle you need to reserve a mid-size vehicle. If you reserve any other type of vehicle you won't get Emerald Aisle.

OK. now I am confused. I thought that if you booked a Midsize, you could only choose form the Midsize Aisle (or lower). For instance, you can't go a grab a minivan or a convertible.

If you're an Emerald Club member, you reserve a midsize and go to the Emerald Aisle to choose. You MAY find a minivan there, maybe even a convertible. Not necessarily though.

Now I remember! The Emerald Aisle is a separate aisle of cars in addition to the car class aisles. I usually troll through the Executive Aisle, the Emerald Aisle and the aisles Full Size and below (I am an Emerald Club Executive and get a FS when I book a MS) and then choose the car that sparks my fancy. Sometimes I'll take a Compact because it's a cute car, much to my DH's chagrin.

Help me here, Robin, what is a "FS and "MS"? Thanks. :)
