Yesterday I bought grand Floridian April use year
I'm kind of afraid to post, because I want to say, "Excuse me, but I think you have your terminology wrong." But the last time I did that, the person really blew up at me.
"Use Year" means the month that you get your allocation of points each year. If you have a February Use Year, then you get your points on February 1 each year. If you have a March Use Year, then you get your points on March 1 each year.
Each of the DVC resorts has its own contract ending date. If you purchase the Villas at Grand Floridian, the contract end date is 01/31/2064. If you purchase Animal Kingdom Villas, the contract end date is 01/31/2057. It doesn't matter if you purchase AKV today, or purchased last month, or last year, or when they first started selling AKV contracts. All AKV contracts have the same ending date.
Old Key West was the first DVC resort. People were given the option of purchasing an extension on the contract end date. So some contracts end in 2042 and some end in 2057.
I am sorry for having the wrong terminology. I am trying to get everything straight and sometimes you say the wrong thing. Thanks for you help on meaning "end date". All the resorts have the same "end date" no matter if I buy next year? Thank you again and I am sorry for the confusion.
It sounds like your looking for the resorts expiration date (end year), not the UY.
The expiration for the resort depends on each resort (except for OKW where the non-extended contracts end in 2042 and extended end in 2057).
VGF will end in 2064
Aulani in 2062
BLT and VGC end in 2060
AKV in 2057
SSR in 2054
All the remainder end in 2042
Every resort has there own end year? That end year stays the same no matter if I don't buy until next year?
I am sorry for having the wrong terminology. I have been looking up lots of different things for DVC and got a little confused. Thanks for all of your help. Every resort has there own end year? That end year stays the same no matter if I don't buy until next year? Thanks again and sorry for the confusion.
"Use Year" (UY) has nothing to do with year. It has to do with the month when your "DVC points" become available for use. So, for example, you can have an April UY or a December UY. (There are 4 months without a UY.) Once you purchase your DVC, you cannot change your UY.Hi Everyone,
Is there anybody out there who has bought this year? if so what use year did you get? 206ish? I want to buy into DVC next year and I am just looking into it?
Thank you so much for your help!!
