I have a question about the use year. We're not DVC owners yet but we wanted to take a big vacation in May of 2008. Now if we were to buy 200 points direct from Disney at Saratoga Springs March 1, 2007 (before an additional price hike) could we choose March to be our "use year". If we did so, could we have 200 pts. + 200 borrowed points to spend on our 5/08 vacation? Then if we made a reservation with Disney Cruises around June or July 2007 for a Disney Cruise departing 5/2008 would we be able to borrow 200 additional points in March of 2008 and use those points on the cruise? In other words could we use 600 total points on a vacation in May of 2008 if we bought the membership in March of 2007?

You can pick your use year if you buy direct from Disney.

Since Your March '06 points that you bank would have to be used between March '07 and the end of February '08, and since the points that you borrow from March '08 would have to be used in the same time period. You can use those points together with your March '07 points to do what you want.
