Use Year Question

My use year is Sept. Does this mean I get my points Sept. 1 or at the end of Sept.? Just thinking of booking a trip in Sept.

Sept Uy points are good for stays Sept 1st through August 31st of the following year.

Thanks so much! That's what I thought, but never booked a trip during the month of Sept, so never really paid that much attention. We are moving to AZ and may have to cancel the HHI trip due to the time of the move, so thinking of booking a quick WDW trip before we leave this side of the country.

BTW, you really get your points now.

your points for september 2009 are already in your account - available for use during sept 1, 2009 through aug 31, 2010 (or tomorrow if there is availability and you are willing to borrow them). the same is true for your 2010 points - they are already in your account and available for use during sept 1, 2010 through aug 31, 2011 (or you could call MS now and book dates from sept 1, 2009 through aug 31, 2010 up to your 11 month window if you are willing to borrow them).

as a result, you can call and book your home resort at 11 months or other resorts at 7 months, so long as you have pts that will cover those dates. if you buy a stripped contract with no points coming until sept 2010, you could still call right now to book june 2010 by borrowing those points.
