Use year + borrowing question

We are looking at buying 125 points direct, with a September use year. I understand we receive the 2020 points immediately when we purchase, and receive our next set of 125 points in September 2021. My question is: in booking a trip now, for late September 2021, can I borrow from my 2022 points (giving me access to 3 years of points, or 375 total, to use on the September trip)? Or can I not borrow from 2022 until we are into September 2021? Thanks!

You can borrow 2022 points for a trip in your 2021 UY. Right now there is a 50% limit on borrowing though.

All based in when you travel. Not when you call or book.

Since a Sept 2021 trip Is in your 2021 UY, you can book it with banked 2020, 2021, and borrow up to 50% of your 2022 points to complete the trip.

Points are always in your account. The only time you have to wait until a UY starts is for banking. They won’t let you bank 2021 UY points into 2022 until you get to that UY.

But, for booking, you can always book 11 months ahead at your home resort and 7 at the others.
