Use year and multiple contract questions

HI! We are looking into buying a resale contract at VWL. We will mostly travel in July and August. What would be a good use year to look for?

Also, if you have 2 contracts from 2 different resorts, can you combine the points from both contracts to book one resort at 11 months out?

I would choose a April or June UY.

You can only combine the points at 7 months. That's how DVD sells so many add ons.

If the contracts are the same resort and UY, you can combine the points 11 months out. If they are different resorts but the same UY, you can combine them 7 months out. If they are different UYs (same resort or different resorts) you cannot combine them at all. In this case, you would have two master contracts rather than a master and an add on and you cannot combine points from two master contracts. What you can do in that case is transfer points from one contract to the other, using your one transfer per UY on each contract by doing so, but if the points are from different resorts they still retain there home resort and UY. Your other option is to book two separate reservations, booking as many whole nights as possible from each master contract, and then have MS link those two reservations so that you don't have to change rooms during your stay.
