Use Year and Borrowed Points Question

If you have a June use year, and you borrow points for a May trip, and then have to cancel the May trip, do you have to use the points by the end of June or risk losing them?

I'm trying to determine which use year would be best. We would travel in May, August and December.

If you borrow points from a June UY, then you would have to use them before June 1. So if you had to cancel a reservation you made with borrowed June points in May, you would have until May 31 to reschedule a trip or they would be lost.

Thank you Deb. I just saw the other thread asking the same question .

I think a December UY would work best for us.
