We joined in March, 07. We purchased 160 at SSR and 100 at AKV. We used all of our points for 06 (We got matching SSR points for 2006). Here is my question. When I go onto the DVC website, I see this:

Use Year October 2007
Total Annual Allotment of Vacation Points 260
Total Vacation Points Remaining 260
Total Vacation Points Available to Bank 260
Total Vacation Points Available to Borrow 260

What concerns me is this sentence:

This Use Year's remaining Vacation Points for Member ID number xxxxxxxx will expire on the last business day of September 2007.

Does this mean that our 2007 points expire in September? Is it too late for me to bank these points if they are to expire? We are planning to use most of these points for a trip in March unless we have messed up and lost them. Please help!

Thanks!

Your use year (UY) is October. Therefore, your 2007 UY starts THIS October. Therefore, your 2006 UY points expire the last day of September, 2007 as this is in your 2006 UY.

You currently have 260 points in your October 2007 Use Year (Oct 1, 2007 thru Sep 30, 2008)

All 260 of those points are current (Oct 2007) year points. This means none of the 260 points were banked IN from 2006, nor were any of the 260 points borrowed from 2008.

All 260 points are bankable into UY 2008

all 260 points are eligible to be borrowed into UY 2006.

The statement about expiration though, should be listing points that would expire. I'm assuming the statement was there, but no points were listed under it. It is simply telling you that the current use year's points (current UY being 2006) will expire on Sep 30, 2007. But you have no 2006 points remaining so you're OK.

Thank you. I am still new and things can be so confusing! Have a great evening.
