Son in law just returned from Orlando on a business trip and used Uber for the first time. He believes now he has the secret to spending savings when going to Disney World and saving a bunch. Every one knows that unless you can afford to stay at the high-end resorts that transportation by Disney is the big advantage to staying on site. He used Uber to go to a park and to some resort a few times. Very quick and under $10. Anyone else have an experience like this? Would not even have the pay rental car or parking fees at the parks. And not have to wait in line for transportation. They even drop you at the entrance to the park.

They even drop you at the entrance to the park.
Well, not at MK. You have to take monorail or ferryboat from TTC.

At the other parks, it's about the same distance from the entrance as the furthest Disney bus stop.

I don't think you can use Uber at MCO - I could be wrong - but you'd need to figure out how to get to/from the airport.

I think there is a way to get picked up at the airport. Is it Uber Black?
Yes, which is essentially hiring a towncar, using Uber as the booking agent. It's significantly more expensive than a taxi.

I guess it would depend on how far the resort is to the parks, and how many times a day you would be using Uber ( whether or not you take a mid day break), compared to the cost of car rental for the week. And then adding the cost of return airport transportation.

Car seats for kids are a consideration if you use Uber or taxis. Not impossible to get but limits the available vehicles/drivers a bit

I love Uber but I'll be honest when I tried to use it to and from the parks I could never find a car. I usually just walked over to the taxi pick up and drop off and got the standard yellow cab but this past trip was the first time I could not get an uber to pick me up at the parks. At the hotels were fine but the parks were an issue.
