use TRU gift cards to buy gift cards???

My husband got a "bonus" of sorts at work getting $250 worth of TRU gift cards!!! Very, Very nice but we've already got most of the kids Christmas bought - and what is left we aren't planning to get at TRU. Anyone know if you can use a gift card to purchase other gift cards??? (such as for Disney!!)

There are a bunch of websites taht you can sell gift cards for part of thier value - but you can also try selling them yourself on say craigslist but be warned you wont get full face value on them

Very true. For example I just sold a $300 gc for Home Depot on eBay for $275. But ToysRUs at Christmas you will probably get closer to value. I'd say within $10. Of course then you have eBay fees.

As far as using the gc to buy other gcs no most stores don't allow that. It usually states that on back of card.

I didn't even look on the back of the card yet - but it's a good idea about selling them. We may just keep them too - I'm sure we can use them throughout the year next year. Would just be nice to have the extra cash here at Christmas. Still, I'm very thankful for the gift and should stop there!!!

toysrus also has a pretty good selection of stocking stuffers if you havent bought them yet...

Or do you have any friends that are planning on buying anything there. I know if I was planning on buying something and a friend was in your situation I would give them the cash for it.

You can also use the large giftcard to buying smaller amount (of TRU) and could possibly use them for gifts thru-out the year....
