Hi - I'm going with my family in May and we all have Cingular as our carrier. Since they usually tour commando raid style and I tour stop-and-smell-the-roses style, I'm hoping we can keep up to date where we all are by use of our cell phones.

Has anyone with Cingular used their cell phones in the parks and resorts? Please let me know. :wave2:

My family of 4 and my parents all use our Cingular phones in the parks and resorts and have no problems.

We used our Cingular phones at MK, MGM, and Pop last October with no problems. Our cat was an in-patient at the vet so we were calling home to check on her fairly often during the first half of our trip. (She came home mid-week and my mom took care of her. :) )

I don't remember using the phone at AK or Epcot but I am sure it would have worked fine.

No problems here either....
(except I am always having so much fun... I never hear it when it rings!!!!)

I've used T-Mobile the last several years and have never had a problem.

I brought mine so they could call me from work with any questions and they were able to reach me no matter where I was in any park :sad1:

The next year I closed the business for the week so I could have fun :woohoo:

I am currently in the parks and i have yet to find a place in park where i dont get some signal either full cingular or cingular extend.. so u should be fine... just make sure they have it so they can hear it ring or vibrate :)

Nextel's are a definite go..There's not too many places that Nextel don't work which is why I love it! :thumbsup2 I've also used Cingular and it worked fine in Disney as well.

I used my Cingular there last June and it worked fine. Hearing it ring was another problem... :rotfl:

Thanks alot!! :thumbsup2

I use Cingular- no problems in the parks (except inside Living Seas). I have had to go outside my room at a few different resorts, though.

I use Cingular with very little problem. I put mine on vibrate tho, otherwise I don't hear it over the ambient noise. Also, it doesn't disturb others that way.

Nextel works even better in WDW.

For anyone wondering we used our Verizon phones and had no problem what so ever. We never had a place where we had no signal!
