Use FP+ for Illuminations - Arrive at Last Minute?

Basically, if we get a FP for Ill. and stroll in 5 mins before Blast Off, how good a view can we expect? We like to wander around WS in the evening so burning a FP on this makes sense unless late arrivals get a crummy view. We'll be avoiding this on nights having those Ill. dining events as I understand some of the space is reserved for that.
